Tech Council of Maryland Helps Environment
Clean & Green Tech Conference

ROCKVILLE, MD (July 30, 2008) – The Tech Council of Maryland’s (TCM) Tech Alliance Division announced today that it will host the Clean & Green Tech Conference, October 2, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda in Bethesda, Maryland, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Rising utility bills and soaring gas prices are forcing companies to examine the use of alternative forms of energy to lower costs and become more environmentally conscious. The Clean & Green Tech Conference brings together technology professionals from across the Mid-Atlantic who are bringing these new technologies to the forefront.

“Clean technologies and renewable energy sources are vital to TCM members and our technology companies ,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director of TCM's Tech Alliance Division. “The Clean & Green Tech Conference will bring these alternative energy technology ideas together in one place to share, educate and promote what is possible for our future.”

Clean & Green Tech Conference topics will include: technologies and alternatives that exist for energy consumption; case studies of what companies are currently doing to reduce energy costs; the national, regional and local legislative and regulatory landscapes; where investment opportunities exist; what the future looks like as far as clean technology development and financing; energy efficiency procurement strategies; and commercialization of technologies.

TCM also announced that Morrison & Foerster, LLP, a law firm with more than a thousand lawyers in seventeen offices around the world, will be the principal sponsor of the Clean & Green Tech Conference. Morrison & Foerster specializes in finance, life sciences, and technology legal services.
