Rick Harris, Executive Director MdTech Division and TCM Foundation

Rick is the Executive Director of the MdTech Division and the TCM Foundation of the Tech Council of Maryland. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MdTech Division which provides the area’s best education and networking opportunities for IT and advanced technology professionals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition, he is responsible for all fundraising and program activities of the TCM Foundation.

Rick has 23-years of association experience and has helped organizations grow through new programming, creative marketing initiatives and for helping to provide a positive business environment across several industries. He is a highly regarded coalition builder and negotiator, having participated on several association merger teams. Rick also works closely with volunteer leaders of the MdTech and the TCM Foundation Boards.

Prior to joining TCM, he has held senior-level positions in the National Association of Home Builder’s Institute, International Communication Industries Association and PCIA Wireless Association where he specialized in marketing and large event/trade show production. He also established trade shows and marketing programs for the world's largest trade association publishing company CPM Media.

Rick has a BA degree from the University of Central Florida in Radio and Television. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Technology Councils of North America.
